We have all heard it said “that the most precious resource we have is time”. It is imperative to make best use of the time we’re given, as we never know when we might run out. May I invite you to join me in changing the way we see and use our time.
It was on July 21, 2019, that I made a decision to intentionally do what I could to live each day helping, serving and saving those in need. This one small decision led me to where I am today, forever directing the course of my life.
A NEW YEAR SURPRISE
Without warning, on the morning of January 7, 2020, my employer of 9 years informed me that my role as a Process Safety Data Engineer - was being eliminated. For the first time since I graduated college, this unexpected conclusion to my petroleum career placed me in a paralyzed state of uncertainty . Until this point in my career, I had planned every step, providing me the security and assurance of “knowing” what came next. Not knowing what to do with two small children and my home, I chose the next best thing - stay calm, be still.
It was in this stillness that I’d remembered a story about our military personnel with Post Traumatic Stress (PTSd). The tragedy of the “22 Kill” looped in my head. The number “22” statistic feeds this pandemic affecting our military soldiers who end their life each day as a result of PTSd. Everyday “the wound that is not visible” claims (on average) one victim every 56 minutes.
This story provided a renewed awareness of my exposure to PTSd within 5 members of my immediate family, including my own personal battle from surviving a plane crash. It was these experiences of living in and among trauma that I made “one” small decision to take action in eliminating this pandemic. It is now my purpose to use my life in saving our brave women and men, who made it their purpose to risk their life for us.
Love & Hope Ranch - From a Dream to a Reality
I’m moved with great emotion to announce the official launch of “Love & Hope Ranch Retreat”! What once was a dream, is now a reality.
Love & Hope Ranch is a non-profit organization focused on helping save the lives of our brave affected with PTSd. Through our programs for Post Traumatic Growth (PTG), we will help heal the lives of our military, first responders, their spouses and children. Love & Hope Ranch Retreat will be among the few PTSd retreats aiming to heal not only the person of trauma, but also the entire family unit.

Vivir y Volar (V&V) Online Store - LAUNCHING SOON!
Through the most difficult times in my life I’ve been able to overcome the PTS challenge with the notion to "Make each Moment a Masterpiece, Be inspired, Be moved, and Do what sets my soul on fire".
I’m excited to share the news that I will be launching Vivir y Volar - Craft Store (meaning "Live & Fly”). V&V will feature quality hand made goods produced by small batch craft makers. Operating V&V will be my new (part-time) means of employment that will provide the financial ability/stability to continue planning and constructing the Love & Hope Ranch, Post Traumatic Stress, Ranch Retreat.

In closing,
